About the role
Description: The Pharmacist I is responsible for the provision of safe, effective, and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. The Pharmacist I manages medication therapy and intervenes as required to optimize patient outcomes. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Pharmacy program or recognized equivalent required. Active license with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) required. Additional prescribing authorization as a requirement within 18 months of hire required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Collaborative experience as part of a multi-disciplinary patient care team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous hospital experience. Completion of an accredited hospital residency/Pharm D program. Member of Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists. Familiarity with Connect Care.
