We are seeking 4 compassionate, patient, and engaging FEMALE Developmental Support Workers to support young male clients with behaviors. Clients may experience social anxiety, high aggressive behaviors, non verbal, Autism, triggers, etc.
We have 4 casual DSWs vacancy available .
Job Benefits:

Pay $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Work with family to learn triggers and coping skills
- Provide safety for clients that are self harming
- respite for family
- Provide gentle encouragement and emotional support to help reduce social anxiety.
- Promote independence, social skills, and a positive self-image through meaningful interactions.
- Maintain professionalism, respect, and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
-
Experience or education in Developmental Services preferred.
-
Previous experience supporting individuals with high behaviors, autism or social anxiety.
-
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
-
Reliable, patient, and compassionate.
-
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan.

Providing cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral and spiritual support
-
Clear communication skills
-
Monitoring care plan and adding detailed documentation with any changes and updates
-
Responding to all emergency situations
-
All other duties, as assigned
Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- DSW certification from a public college/learning center
- Experience of over 2 years is *required**
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
- Safe Management Certificate within last 6 months
- CPI Blue Card within last 6 months
- 2 Satisfactory professional references
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
