We are seeking 4 compassionate, patient, and engaging FEMALE Developmental Support Workers to support young male clients with behaviors. Clients may experience social anxiety, high aggressive behaviors, non verbal, Autism, triggers, etc.

We have 4 casual DSWs vacancy available .

Job Benefits:

• Pay $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Work with family to learn triggers and coping skills
• Provide safety for clients that are self harming
• respite for family
• Provide gentle encouragement and emotional support to help reduce social anxiety.
• Promote independence, social skills, and a positive self-image through meaningful interactions.
• Maintain professionalism, respect, and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Experience or education in Developmental Services preferred.

• Previous experience supporting individuals with high behaviors, autism or social anxiety.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Reliable, patient, and compassionate.

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan.

• Providing cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral and spiritual support

• Clear communication skills

• Monitoring care plan and adding detailed documentation with any changes and updates

• Responding to all emergency situations

• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• DSW certification from a public college/learning center
• Experience of over 2 years is *required**
• Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
• Safe Management Certificate within last 6 months
• CPI Blue Card within last 6 months
• 2 Satisfactory professional references
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
