Job Purpose The Plant Manager will lead, drive, and sustain the cultural and technical changes necessary to make Dana a world-class Lean manufacturer. These changes will be required at multiple levels within the organization and will necessitate different approaches and delivery methods while still retaining consistency.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the overall manufacturing operations within the business, including procurement, supply chain management, manufacturing, assembly, and distribution of all products.
• Serve as the leader and catalyst for teaching, training, and implementing Lean Enterprise principles, tools, and techniques within the manufacturing organization.
• Significantly reduce direct costs, improve quality, and shrink inventory.
• Serve as the leader of the senior management team at their respective location.
• Own and lead all manufacturing and distribution operations.
• Responsible for leading the continuous improvement efforts. Establish credibility with executive leadership to influence basic strategy and the effective inclusion of long-range improvements to franchise plans.
• Create strategic plans to support the long-term profitable growth of the business.
• Put metrics in place that have a positive impact on the organization, that drive improvements and accountability.
• Motivate and supervise the plant workforce.
• Manage plant assets associated with improving cost, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Deploy plant processes and systems to ensure world-class manufacturing processes are achieved.
• Communicate best practices and benchmarks
• Communicate well at all levels within the organization.

Education And Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with preference in engineering or related technical discipline
• 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong financial acumen and ability to drive metrics
• Detail oriented and very hands on in a manufacturing environment
