About the role
Reporting to the IT Team Lead, System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and evolution of the IT infrastructure. They act as the primary specialist for information systems security, ensuring the protection of the company's data, networks, and assets. They are also responsible for resolving complex IT problems and must support technicians with higher-level escalations. They are actively involved in the research and development of technological solutions to support the company's growth, with cybersecurity as the main mandate.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration and Infrastructure
- Administer infrastructure environments to ensure system availability, reliability, and integrity;
- Manage virtual machines & physical servers (Windows and Linux) to support internal needs;
- Develop and document procedures for infrastructure components under their responsibility, including incident response plans;
- Provide and identify the required metrics to produce dashboards that proactively identify necessary maintenance for the environment;
- Optimize IT infrastructure costs while respecting security imperatives;
- Administration of software used throughout the company.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of server management (physical and virtual) on-site and on IaaS platforms;
- Good knowledge of Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365 suites;
- Solid knowledge of Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.);
- Solid knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, Firewall);
- Advanced knowledge of Ubuntu (Linux) and Windows environments, including domains and Active Directory;
- Mastery of security concepts (SIEM, EDR/Antivirus, Encryption, PKI).
Aptitudes and Interpersonal Skills
- Project Management: Proven ability to lead technological projects from A to Z (needs definition, architecture, implementation, documentation, and transition to operations) with minimal supervision;
- Communication and Popularization: Excellent aptitudes for communicating complex technical concepts or security risks to varied audiences (technicians, managers, users);
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Methodical approach to incident diagnosis (troubleshooting) and resolution of critical problems under pressure;
- Collaboration and Coaching: Ability to work in a team and act as a technical mentor for junior administrators or technicians;
- Good Adaptability: Ability to manage conflicting priorities;
- Rigor: Ability to enforce security policies with diplomacy and firmness.
ASSETS
- Knowledge of Git & Docker.
- Security certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CISM) or system administration;
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for the automation of security tasks;
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.);
- Ability to work in an environment governed by a quality system (ISO 9001 / 13485).
