About the role
Description: The Working Lead performs specialized or heavy duty cleaning in public, patient and office areas and uses industrial cleaning equipment to maintain all flooring surfaces which includes waxing, stripping, refinishing and burnishing. The position assists with the transport and set-up of furniture, equipment and supplies and assists in the training and orientation of new staff. The Working Lead performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA General Support Services Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Grade 10 or recognized equivalent. Two (2) to three (3) years directly related experience in cleaning and/or laundry in a health care setting. Demonstrated ability to act in a leadership position. Good time management skills, planning for details. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Basic computer/IT literacy for use of computers and/or smartphone. Ability to lift 25 pounds above shoulder height. Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Grade 12. Knowledge of EVS equipment and chemicals. WHMIS certificate.
