Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of the Sleep Apnea and Allergy Department, the Respiratory Therapist will play a key role in developing sleep clinic services and will actively participate in the allergy clinic's activities. Main Responsibilities Participate in the development of the sleep apnea service; Contribute to the assessment of cardiorespiratory function for diagnostic or therapeutic monitoring purposes (polygraphy, pulse oximetry, CPAP therapy); Treat patients of all ages with cardiorespiratory disorders; Perform diagnostic tests Respiratory function (spirometry); Perform various diagnostic examinations, including:

Spirometry; ECG; Holter monitoring; ABPM;

Educate and support patients to promote optimal recovery and management of their condition (use of metered-dose inhalers, smoking cessation, breathing exercises, etc.); Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals; Perform any other related tasks.

Desired Profile

Experience in a sleep clinic (a significant asset); College Diploma (DEC) in Respiratory Therapy Techniques; Valid license to practice Professional Order of Respiratory Therapists of Quebec (OPIQ); Excellent communication and customer service skills; Team spirit, autonomy, and organizational skills.
