Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based at High River Ford Sales Inc in High River, AB. The Salesperson is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle needs, and guiding them through the sales process from initial consultation to final delivery. Daily tasks include presenting vehicle features and benefits, conducting test drives, preparing price quotations, and explaining financing and warranty options in a clear and respectful manner. The role involves maintaining product knowledge, following up with leads and past customers, and using dealership systems to document interactions and complete sales paperwork accurately. The Salesperson collaborates with colleagues in finance, service, and management to ensure a positive, efficient customer experience and to help achieve dealership sales targets. Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to listen actively, ask clear questions, and explain vehicle features and pricing options in a straightforward way. Sales and negotiation skills, including experience building rapport, handling objections, and closing transactions in a professional, ethical manner. Basic business, math, and computer skills to manage pricing, financing estimates, inventory systems, and sales documentation accurately. Interest in and ability to learn automotive products, including key model features, technology packages, safety systems, and maintenance requirements. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple customers, follow up on leads, and maintain a structured sales pipeline. Ability to work on-site in a retail environment, including evenings or weekends as needed, and to collaborate effectively with a diverse team. Previous experience in automotive sales, retail sales, or customer-facing roles is an asset. Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
