Direct Right is an asset based, Western Canada LTL and TL carrier. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Direct Right has hard working staff and terminals across Canada, serving Vancouver BC, Edmonton AB, Calgary AB, Winnipeg MB and Montreal QC.
Job Description
Our company is seeking a Forklift Operator to receive and ship freight in a LTL Cross-dock environment. We are looking for experienced, organized, detail-oriented, self-driven individuals with a commitment to excellence. Fundamental knowledge of cross-docking procedures would be an asset.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Unloading freight from inbound trailers
-
Loading outbound trailers
-
Distributing freight to P&D drivers
-
Printing labels and applying to shipments received
-
Documenting and escalating overages, shortages, and damages
-
Reweighing inbound and outbound freight
-
Completing dock checks and yard checks as required
-
General housekeeping and cleaning of dock and equipment
-
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Must have at least 2-3 years of experience with Forklift and have valid certification
-
Must have an excellent attendance record
-
High attention to quality standards and solid detail-orientation required
-
Ability to follow instruction well and meet deadlines
-
Health and safety conscious
-
Good knowledge of Canadian Geography is an asset
-
Must complete WHIMIS training (provided)

Additional Information
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- 12:30 pm - 8:30 pm
