About the role
We have casual Care Aide opportunities available throughout Interior Health. These opportunities may be in Acute, Long-term Care, and Community settings. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and hours can range from 0-40 hours per week.

Applicants are required to provide proof of their registration on the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry, an up to date copy of their resume, and a copy of a valid BC Drivers License (for Community Health Worker positions only).
Eligible applicants who have provided the required documentation may be sent a pre-screening request. If your responses match current operational needs for locations and type of work, our Recruiters may be in contact to discuss next steps. Local candidates may be given first consideration on available opportunities, as there are limited housing and public transportation options in many of our rural communities. About The Job
As an Acute Care Aide you will work as an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, who provide care and support in a hospital setting. Working under the direction of nurses, Care Aides have key responsibilities in the individual care plan for each patient to meet their physical, emotional and social needs. Rate of pay per April 10, 2026 Wage Schedule will be $31.64
As a Long-term Care Aide you will work as an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, who provide care and support in a long-term care setting. Working under the direction of nurses, Long-term Care Aides have key responsibilities in the individual care plan for each resident to meet their physical, emotional and social needs. Wages for Care Aides working in long-term care as per April 10, 2026 wage schedule will be $31.64.
As a Community Health Worker, you will work as part of a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who support Community Clients’ independence and ability to stay at home. Community Health Workers provide home support services to clients by assisting with activities of daily living and supporting and encouraging maximum independence. Wages for Community Health Workers are: $29.62 - $31.40
