Job Description On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Business System Analyst who will support the project by working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate operational needs into system and functional requirements for the new solution.

Key Responsibilities Requirements Elicitation & Documentation

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops with contact center teams and internal city departments
• Gather and document business, functional, and system requirements
• Identify gaps and improvement opportunities within current case management processes

Business Process Analysis

• Document current-state (as-is) business processes related to service request handling
• Develop future-state (to-be) workflows aligned with the modernized platform
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve service delivery

System & Solution Support

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams and vendors
• Support system configuration activities including case workflows, service categories, and routing rules
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions align with business needs

Integration & Data Support

• Identify and document integration requirements with other municipal systems
• Support data mapping and migration planning from legacy case management systems
• Assist with defining data structures and case attributes within the new platform

Testing & Validation

• Develop and execute test scenarios and test cases
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders
• Validate that implemented functionality meets documented requirements

Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Support

• Work closely with project managers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the implementation lifecycle
• Assist with documentation, training materials, and user adoption activities
• Support communication between business stakeholders and technical teams

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst on enterprise system implementations
• Strong experience with requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation
• Experience supporting technology transformation or modernization initiatives
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• Experience supporting system testing and UAT activities
