JOB OVERVIEW

The Automotive Service technician is responsible for inspecting and repairing a wide range fleet vehicles. This licensed professional will oversee maintenance inspections, monitor inventory, assemble mechanical components, diagnose, perform repairs, and complete documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering and hydraulics.
• Complete annual CVIP inspections and certifications.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Proficient with electronic components and computerized equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Maintain relationships with multiple vendors to source parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Travel and overnight trips to perform offsite service and maintenance may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Automotive Service Technician within Alberta
• 2+ years Automotive Service Technician experience would be an asset
• Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision
• Problem solving skills that can be displayed and communicated efficiently
• Must be physically fit enough to meet the challenges of hard physical work (lift to 50 pounds).
• Computer proficient
• Successfully PASS and maintain Criminal Record Check
• Fluent in English, written and spoken

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
