About the role
MEI is an independent Pre-K-12 school system with approximately 1600 students. All applicants must be dedicated to Christian education. Successful candidates are required to sign an MEI Staff Covenant indicating acceptance and agreement with MEI Schools' Christian values.
MEI Schools' Finance Department is inviting applications for an Accounts Receivable Associate position with the intended start date of June 1, 2026.
Accounts Receivable Associate
Permanent Full-time continuing flexible work arrangement
The Accounts Receivable Associate supports the school's financial operations by posting payments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the timely collection of outstanding balances. Responsibilities include managing A/R ledgers, resolving discrepancies, and processing refunds, adjustments, and other related transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post, reconcile, and maintain accurate accounts receivable records, including payments, credit balances, refunds, and adjustments.
- Receive and process payments.
- Follow up outstanding and overdue accounts, working with families to arrange payment plans and resolve concerns.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, misapplied payments, and account irregularities; document findings and process corrections for review
- Maintain accurate and confidential customer records, including all correspondence and collection activity
- Prepare statements, reports, and summaries on account status, collections, and A/R performance as required
- Collaborate with internal departments and the Finance Manager to resolve account issues and support collection goals
- Communicate policies and procedures clearly and respectfully to families and stakeholders.
- Escalate delinquent accounts in accordance with established procedures, including referral to third-party collections where necessary
- Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of all financial information
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
