##Job Description
Under direct supervision and specific instructions, this position follows procedures which are required to execute and deliver services within the assigned Office Services functional area(s).
The Building Services Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and in good working conditions. This role supports daily operations by troubleshooting issues, completing repairs, and coordinating with vendors when specialized services are required.
- Assist with and perform a variety of technical activities within assigned Office Services functional area(s)
- Schedule and coordinate contracted services with outside vendors and contractors as directed
- Ensure vendors / contractors follow established policies and practices in relation to the safe and efficient use of company facilities, equipment, and resources
- Possess and apply a clear understanding of assigned tasks / activities and the associated expectations
- Communicate to supervisors on progress on assigned tasks / activities
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Other duties as assigned
##Basic Job Requirements

A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two (2) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
-
On call schedule shifts required.

Ability to lift moderate weight and perform physical tasks as required.

Snow removal duties.
-
Assist in scheduling and overseeing external contractors for specialized repairs.
-
Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.

##Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or global equivalent, and/or appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent preferred
- Two (2) years of experience and specialized knowledge in one or more primary Office Services function

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
