About the role
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate**Health Care Aide (HCA)**to join our team on a casual basis. The HCA will work under the direction of nursing staff to provide personal care and assist residents with daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- Support mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff
- Assist with serving meals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
Qualifications
- Health Care Aide Certificate (recognized program)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience in Supportive Living Setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
Skills & Attributes
- Compassionate and patient-focused
- Reliable and flexible (must be available for various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends)
- Strong observational skills
- Physical ability to perform job duties (lifting, transferring, etc.)
