Title: Senior Estimator/Cost Control Lead
Location: 37 Quarry Park Blvd SE, Calgary

Job Overview
Reporting to the Production Manager, as the Senior Estimator/Cost Control Lead you will administer the standards, systems and processes to ensure accurate cost information in the production databases.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Conducting daily operations of the Estimating department cost control including job budgets, monthly pricing, maintaining all products and internal selection catalogs and leading and managing of cost control staff.
Building new model budgets, including all preplanned options and evaluating offer prices and send tenders to Trade Partners / Suppliers.
Building and fostering professional working relationships with all suppliers to coordinate new product offerings.
Investigating complaints and systemic problems to implement solutions and prevent recurrence.
Being a contributing member to the Operations team.
Supporting all software upgrades and changes.
Establishing general procedures within the estimating team focusing on cost control and diagnosing and resolving system issues that impair operations to enhance operational efficiency.
Assisting in adjustments of standard home features and specifications when required.
Ensuring adherence to established practices and quality standards within the Estimating area.
Maintaining, assessing and improving upon the standards, systems, processes and tools that are used for estimating and purchasing.

Essential Requirements
High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Minimum 8 year of estimating and cost control experience in residential construction industry.
Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, sharePoint and PowerPoint) and estimating software (NewStar, BuildPro, SupplyPro).

Working Conditions
You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Travel to residential construction sites and overtime may occasionally be required.
