**Number of positions and Location:**10+ permanent positions, Calgary

**Work Schedule:**Monday to Friday,

All 3 Shift availability required plus overtime as needed.

Old Dutch Foods is looking for Manufacturing Technicians (Packers) that can also cover some of our more skilled positions as relief personnel in an Union environment at our Calgary plant.

Relief positions include Seasoning Technician, Quality Lab Technician, Forklift operations, Machine Operators, Fryer Operators and Potato Unloader.

Responsibilities and Expectations(but not limited to):

• Perform labor critical tasks as per company standards. This includes but is not limited to general packing, box making, quality checks and housekeeping
• Good understanding of production schedule
• Comply with the following:
  • Standard Operating Procedures and Policies (SOPP)
  • Safety Rules & Regulations
  • Food Safety Rules & Regulations (AIB, SQF etc)
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS)

Requirements**:**

• Ability to understand production schedules
• Read & Write in English
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Good decision-making skills
• Must pass the latest training in SQF and GMP
• Must pass specific aptitude test for relief positions
• Satisfy physical demand analysis for the job, involves repetitive lifting
• Be a team player and respectful for others
• Good attendance
• Food Manufacturing experience would be an asset
• Relief requirements can vary per position, but the following skills & experience would be an asset
  • Seasoning Technician (repetitive heavy lifting)
  • Quality checks & lab work
  • Forklift Certified
  • Yard truck certified
  • Bagging machine operation
  • Continuous Fryer and slicer operation
