About the Role

At Calgary Academy, Physical Education is an essential part of whole-child development. We’re hiring a teacher who can design and deliver a structured, inclusive PE program for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12—building skills, confidence, and lifelong habits through movement.

Additionally, we are looking for candidates with the below:

• Bachelor of Education, with a specialization or major in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or a related field is required.
• Strong knowledge of Alberta’s K–12 Physical Education and Wellness curriculum.
• Demonstrated understanding of the role of movement and wellness, in supporting student engagement and academic readiness and life skills.
• First Aid/CPR and coaching certifications are considered assets.
• Experience working with students across K–12 grade levels preferred.

This position will follow the school calendar, with two and a half weeks off over the winter break, two weeks for spring break and approximately seven weeks over the summer break.
