About the role
St. Wilfrid School (K-6)
4225 - 44 Avenue NE, Calgary
Overall Accountability
The School Assistant, Healthy Choices Program will support the implementation and on-going operation of a School Nutrition Program working with the Consultant, Comprehensive School Health and the Principal.
Specific Accountabilities
- Responsible for distribution and service of foods
- Communicates with outside program vendors.
- Oversees the ordering, purchasing and/or delivery of food from approved suppliers.
- Responsible for distribution, collection and cleaning of small wares, dishes etc.
- Records data of food distribution and management
- Responsible for inventory management of program
- Responsible for weekly menu planning
- Prepares and cooks food for daily lunch meals.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma
-
Commercial food service experience preferred
-
Food Safety Alberta Certification (within last 3 years) preferred

Standard First Aid preferred
-
Valid Alberta Driver’s License and a vehicle in good operating condition

Basic knowledge of Microsoft office

Strong organizational skills

Effective interpersonal skills
