On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for an Energy Trading Systems Specialist for a permanent role. This position is onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Energy Trading Systems Specialist - Job Description:

The Energy Trading Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting the ION RightAngle application and related system customizations and integrations. This role involves maintaining system functionality, ensuring smooth operations, and enhancing system capabilities to meet business requirements.

Energy Trading Systems Specialist - Responsibilities:

Interact daily with end-users, developers, and managers to support and enhance RightAngle. Document issues and enhancements with the appropriate level of detail for the development team to resolve technical issues and build solutions. Field questions from end-users and assist with data issues. Create and maintain system functional design documents. Complete analysis, testing, and deployment for RightAngle system upgrades, patches, and custom code releases. Follow defined change management procedures and internal guidelines. Ensure proper communication to all levels of the organization.

Energy Trading Systems Specialist - Mandatory Skills:

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills. 5 years of experience in application support. Strong understanding of Physical (Oil, NGLs, Refined Products) & Financial commodities. A strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts. Familiarity with SDLC processes such as Agile, Waterfall, etc. Experience working with ticketing systems such as Remedy, ServiceNow. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail.

Energy Trading Systems Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with ION RightAngle S20+ is preferred. Previous experience in Oil & Gas industry is a plus. Advanced Excel skills & Intermediate skills in other MS Office applications.
