About The Role Please note:

• This is a term position covering a maternity leave, starting as soon as possible and ending March 2027.
• 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday to Friday (one hour break).

We are seeking an Educator for our Toddlers program at our Calgary South East Seton Active Start location . We are looking for someone who possess a strong understanding of child development, exceptional engagement skills, and a dedication to fostering positive relationships with both children and colleagues. The ideal candidates will be dependable, adaptable, fluent in English, and exhibit outstanding communication and multitasking abilities. Prior experience is advantageous, and candidates must possess Alberta Child Care certification levels 1, 2, or 3, along with current criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) and first aid certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Implementing engaging programming tailored to the interests and needs of the children.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the environment.
• Leading and supporting children in integrated learning and recreational activities.

Qualifications

• Prior childcare/daycare experience is required
• Level 1, 2 or 3 Child Care Certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Professional, adaptable, and fluent in English
• Proficiency in computer applications and administrative systems
• Knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations (preferred)
