Operating as a trade name of Priss Culture Inc., the platform recognizes women for their entrepreneurship, leadership, community impact, resilience, ambition, and sense of purpose, not appearance or status alone. Building on the legacy of Miss Industrious Nigeria, Miss Industrious Canada invests in women beyond the competition by providing mentorship, business and brand development, strategic partnerships, and long-term visibility. Our inaugural event is scheduled for Fall 2026 in Toronto.
About the Role
We're building our Founding Advisory Board and are seeking experienced professionals who want to help shape a purpose-driven organization from the ground up. This is a volunteer advisory position designed for professionals who want meaningful strategic and governance experience while contributing their expertise to a growing national platform. As a member of the Advisory Board, you'll provide strategic guidance on organizational growth, financial sustainability, partnerships, governance, and community impact. While the Board plays an important advisory role in shaping strategy and decision-making, it does not exercise statutory director authority, as Miss Industrious Canada currently operates as a trade name under Priss Culture Inc. Board members will collaborate closely with the Founder and leadership team to help build a sustainable organization that empowers women across Canada.

Legal Advisor Treasurer / Finance Lead Marketing & Public Relations Lead Sponsorship & Partnerships Lead Project Management / PMO Lead Event Management Lead Professionals with expertise in other relevant areas are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your area of expertise, Advisory Board Members may
Provide strategic guidance on organizational growth and long-term planning Support governance, policies, and best practices Advise on fundraising, sponsorship, and financial sustainability Strengthen partnerships with businesses, sponsors, government, and community organizations Review strategic initiatives, proposals, and organizational plans Support marketing, communications, and brand awareness Contribute to mentorship and participant development initiatives Attend Advisory Board meetings and committee meetings Represent Miss Industrious Canada at selected events and stakeholder engagements Serve as an ambassador for the organization's mission and values
We're Looking For
Ideal candidates will have
Professional experience in one or more of our advisory areas Leadership, governance, or senior management experience Strong communication and relationship-building skills A collaborative mindset and strategic thinking ability Passion for entrepreneurship, women's empowerment, and community impact Comfort working within a growing, early-stage organization Experience in nonprofit, corporate, public sector, entrepreneurship, or community leadership is an asset Professionals from all sectors are welcome to apply.

Commitment
Volunteer position Approximately 10 hours per month (varies by role) Quarterly Advisory Board meetings, with occasional committee meetings and special events Hybrid, with virtual meetings and occasional in-person events in the Greater Toronto Area
