About the role
Durell Control Systems Inc. has an immediate opportunity for Building Automation System (BAS) Technician. We are located in London, Ontario and are the Delta Controls Distributor for Southwestern Ontario. Durell Control Systems design, install and service Delta control systems. Provide system integration via Delta enteliWEB and Tridium N4 platform as well as Energy Management services.
Job Type: Full-time (70Hrs Biweekly). Language: English Work site environment At height, Cold/refrigerated, Hot, Outdoors, Clean, Noisy Work Setting Office, On-site customer service, Willing to relocate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Building Automation Systems. Create codes for Direct Digital Control (DDC) panels to meet specifications of control sequence, and program building operator’s workstation front end dashboards per end user’s requirements.
- Design and program graphics user interface per project specifications. Work with project managers and supervisors to communicate with clients, implement any customized format, additions/revisions to satisfy clients’ needs.
- Test DDC control components and verify control system design functions.
- Communicate with site technicians, implement site changes /directives and incorporate changes in database and programs. Deliver the databases and necessary support to site technician in time.
- Troubleshoot equipment and system problems through software programs.
- Process site documentations (as- built marks/notes, commissioning sheets, etc…). Conduct final review of system programming, revise databases per specifications and commissioning reports, and document all associated changes.
- Work closely with engineering designers, provide support and help with engineering as needed.
- Respond to service phone calls as required, provide timely response/support to diagnose source of problems and customer concerns, fix problems via program revisions and recommend corrective site actions.
- Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.
Requirements
- College diploma (3 years) in Electrical/Electronic Technologies/technician program.
- 2~3 years' experience of electrical & electronic controls and Distributed Control System in HVAC industry (Building Automation System/Energy), Design and programming with Delta Controls enteliWEB software and Niagara N4 software.
- Basic knowledge in computer software and networking, such as Networking software, Internet, Intranet, TCP/IP, Communication software, Mapping and data visualization, HTML and Image editing software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
- Attention to details, organized; initiative, dedicated.
- Motivated team player; effective communication skills. Positive and professional attitude.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada, willing to relocate to London of Ontario.
References will be required after an interview.
