Reporting to the Superintendent, Engineering, the Mining Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects related to site infrastructure. He acts as a technical partner to engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance of installations.

In collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors, he actively contributes to system optimization, the resolution of technical issues, and the continuous improvement of operational practices.

Key Responsibilities

-       Manage mechanical engineering projects in collaboration with various departments.

-       Work on systems such as pumping, compressed air, material handling, and underground construction projects.

-       Perform technical calculations and field surveys.

-       Provide ongoing technical support to operations and maintenance teams.

-       Design, review, and update maintenance and engineering procedures.

-       Ensure technical supervision of contractors (F/M) on worksites.

-       Contribute to the preparation of the budget and long-term plan (LOM).

-       Ensure the quality, compliance, and availability of drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

-       Participate in problem-solving in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

-       Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, and procedures.

-       Perform all other related duties.

Qualifications

-       Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

-       Between 2 and 5 years of experience in a similar role.

-       Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

-       Valid general explosives permit and completed FMTM modules.

-       Knowledge of equipment and systems (pumps, compressors, piping, concrete, etc.): an asset.

-       Proficiency in software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Deswik, and SAP Maintenance: an asset.

-       ASP Construction card: an asset.
