The typical salary range for this position is $69 840.00 - $96 030.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.
This posting is for an existing 20-month temporary, full-time position. **

SUMMARY:**
This position is responsible for providing training expertise and organizational development support to the METRO Inc. Ontario Division across all business lines and functions. Its primary focus is on the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of various training and development programs for employees and emerging leaders to support their personal and professional growth.
**
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
**

Partner with business stakeholders to assess training needs and establish service delivery plans
-
Coordinate with other trainers and department colleagues on overall training schedules, resources, and planning
-
Participate in training event planning and organization of on-site logistics for venues
-
Deliver training, coaching, or other learning experiences and programs to business partners, including employee groups from offices, distribution centers, retail operations, and pharmacies
-
Ensure training programs are delivered with a high degree of quality, consistency, and best practices in adult education while adapting learning to specific audience needs and workplace realities
-
Assess, monitor, and evaluate learning from training and support employee transfer back to the job
-
Recommend new ideas, tools, and practices for continuous improvement of programs, materials, and training delivery formats
-
Utilize the company’s Learning Management System (LMS) to accurately input data, assign and track training attendance and completion, and compile and review reports
**
QUALIFICATIONS:
**
-
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma with a specialty in training, education, human resources, psychology, communications, or other related field**
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience including in-person training and facilitation, eLearning, and remote, distance, or virtual session delivery
**- Advanced teaching, facilitation, and presentation skills, as well as a highly developed sense of accountability and client service -
Ability to develop relationships and function independently as well as part of a team
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the use of MS Office**
**- Knowledge or experience in instructional design and developing training materials -
Continuous learner, adaptable, and has a growth mindset**
**- Strong attention to detail, time management, and project coordination abilities -
Some travel is required**
**- Grocery, Retail, or Operations experience is an asset -
Experience with LMS/LXP platforms or other learning technologies is an asset

Master’s degree or professional certifications are a strong asset
