INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION

CONTINUING AND ADULT EDUCATION NIGHT SCHOOL TEACHER

ENG3C/4C/4U and OLC3O/4O

Location : Virtual

Dates : May 26, 2026 to August 06, 2026

Reports to : Kathy Archer, Learning Services Administrator

Salary : Continuing Education Hourly Rate

Note: Courses will only run if qualified teachers are available, and a minimum class size can be established.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Six hours of online instruction Tuesday and Thursday between 6:30pm to 9:30pm, and three hours of facilitation weekly;

• Implement effective student assessment practices (e.g., descriptive feedback) within the virtual learning environment;

• Enhanced curriculum-based content to integrate differentiated instructional strategies designed to improve student; engagement and foster deeper learning; and

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Teacher in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers; and
• Intermediate/senior qualifications required in the course subject area English
• A valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Assets :

• Experience with Office 365 and Aspen;

• An understanding of effective learning teaching, assessment strategies, and differentiation;

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills;

• Excellent oral and written communication skills; and

• Knowledge of the board approved virtual learning environment (Brightspace or O365 Teams)

Job Requirements:

• Eligible to work in Canada Clean Vulnerable Sector Police Check
