The College of New Caledonia is looking for an instructor to teach in the Heavy Mechanical Trades Program.
Skills & Qualifications
-
An Interprovincial Trades Qualification in either the Heavy Duty Equipment Technician OR Truck and Transport Mechanic trade.

Five years of experience working as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician OR Truck and Transport Mechanic in a number of industrial settings.

Preference will be given to candidates who are current in the trade and who have recent proven teaching and/or supervisory experience.

The successful candidate should be able to deal effectively with students on an individual or group basis.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams) is required.

Completion of the Provincial Instructor’s Diploma Program (PIDP) would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety practices and will foster a safety-first culture with students and in the CNC community.
You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues
You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities.
Hiring criteria shall include professional qualifications, professional experience, teaching experience, college contributions, community awareness and personal attributes so far as they are applicable to the job classification in question.
