The Division has an opening for a temporary, full-time Clinical Occupational Therapist I with Outreach Services located in Corner Brook.This position will provide Occupational Therapy to children with physical and developmental diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and Spina Bifida, living in the Western Region. Specialized clinical work will include assessment of developmental milestones, self-care, fine motor and play skills.This position will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment to patients/clients referred. The occupational therapy management of clients includes identification of occupational performance issues, completion of assessments, setting treatment goals and objectives, providing intervention, establishing outcomes and follow-up plan in consultation with client and family. The Occupational Therapist (OT) will participate as a member of a regional care team which includes Physiotherapists and other Occupational Therapists. This OT will be required to provide consultation into the child care settings, educational settings and home environment. Some travel throughout the region will be expected.
