Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a well established heavy civil construction company specializing in drilling & blasting, mass excavation, pipeline placement, concrete placement, and asphalt paving. Our team has had tremendous growth in the last year, and we are excited to keep expanding. We are looking to hire an energetic, hardworking, team player to join our Paving Crew as a Service Truck Driver!

Requirements:

• Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a positive attitude.

• Must have reliable transportation to our yard in Dartmouth for a 6 AM start time.

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract required.

• Condition 15 (Tag Endorsement) required, or willingness to obtain (company support available for the right candidate).

• Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.

• Previous experience in asphalt or construction considered an asset.

• Ability to work as part of a team, and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the service truck to support paving operations.

• Transport equipment, fuel, and materials to and from job sites.

• Work alongside the asphalt crew with hands-on labour work.

• Daily involvement in safety conscious activities such as tailgate meetings.

• Assist with general asphalt duties including raking, shoveling, and site preparation.

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by foreman.

• Assist with any other tasks required by foreman.
