Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth food service operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Duties

• Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
• Manage customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or POS terminals
• Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and food preparation surfaces
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet food safety regulations
• Assist with food serving duties, including plating and delivering orders to customers
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
• Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation, serving, and sanitation standards
• Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
• Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
• Basic understanding of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures
• Kitchen experience or restaurant background is advantageous
• Ability to upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
