The Cook's Assistant works under limited supervision and in accordance with catering or tally sheets in prioritizing, preparing and storing a variety of fresh ingredients and foods that will be served to patients. Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:

An equivalent combination of education & experience may be considered. WHMIS certificate desired. Food safe certificate desired. One year of food service experience in a hospital/institutional setting is desired. Previous food service experience in a restaurant/cafeteria setting or customer service experience may be considered desirable in combination with other qualifications. WHMIS Certificate, desired.
