Coordinator, Talent Acquisition
About the role
The following is a long-term contract opportunity for approximately 18 months.
The Coordinator, Talent Acquisition, works with leadership to manage the full-cycle recruitment process to attract, assess, and hire top talent aligned with CPSA’s goals. This role partners with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop effective sourcing strategies, and deliver a high-quality candidate experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation

Partner with hiring managers to define selection criteria and understand the talent needs

Develop and execute sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking, and talent pipelines

Conduct candidate screenings and interviews to assess qualifications and potential

Coordinate and facilitate interview processes, ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience

Monitor recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, etc.) and recommend process improvements

Ensure compliance with employment legislation and CPSA policies throughout the hiring process

Build and maintain talent pools for current and future hiring needs

Support employer branding initiatives to attract high-quality candidates

Proactive presence on social media to build a talent pool and pipeline with active outreach to possible future talent

In support of continuous quality improvement, review and make recommendations to enhance CPSA’s communication practices and stay on top of current communications and market trends

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Business diploma with a preference for specialization in Human Resources
- 5 years of related experience, including 2 years in recruitment

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
- Organization and prioritization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Microsoft Office 365
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Customer-service focused and able to effectively communicate with multiple internal and external partners
- A broad range of human resources and recruiting knowledge. Working knowledge of both provincial and federal labour law and regulations, and privacy legislation is an asset.
SALARY
The annual salary for this position is $81,568 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA's downtown Edmonton office. At the conclusion of a successful probationary period, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
