Job Summary:

Thedishwasherplays an essential role delivering a safe, seamless, and high-quality guest experience by supporting cleanliness, efficiency, and teamwork behind the scenes. The dishwasher will work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, Cooks and other team members to ensure a steady flow of clean items, especially during peak service times, demonstrating urgency and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing systems and manual washing as required.
• Support kitchen operations by ensuring a consistent supply of clean items for service, working efficiently to keep up with demand during peak periods.
• Keep dishwashing areas clean, organized, and safe, including proper use of chemicals, equipment, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain a hygienic and orderly workspace.
• Support waste management by sorting and disposing of garbage, recycling, and compost in accordance with procedures.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing clean dishes and kitchen supplies in designated areas.
• Follow all health and safety standards, including proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service team members to ensure smooth operations and a clean, efficient back-of-house environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling, and safety standards is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and hospitality operations
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items when necessary
