About the role
This position has a term of May 11, 2026 to August 31, 2026.
Location- This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton, South Campus Edmonton, and Campus Saint-Jean.
The incumbent's primary goal is to provide a sage, aesthetically pleasing landscaped campus environment for the University community, which includes but isn't limited to (students, staff and visitors to Campus) within the general frame of work of Division policies and procedures.
The incumbent acts as a contact between students, staff, visitors, and is responsible for the general upkeep of both hard and soft landscaped areas
Operating one of the largest campus district energy systems in North America, the utilities team plays a vital role in maintaining and advancing the infrastructure that serves over 70,000 people daily. Their efforts ensure efficient and sustainable energy services across the campus and greater campus area.

Reports to a Lead hand, Landscape Services as part of a maintenance area team.

Perform a number of manual labor landscaping tasks utilizing a variety of common hand tools to ensure established standards are maintained.

Use of push lawn mower and line trimmer to maintain turf areas

Pruning and weeding shrub beds

May work as a part of a team to lay sod

Applicants must be enrolled in post secondary education.
