About the role

Location- This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton, South Campus Edmonton and Campus Saint-Jean Edmonton.
Within the general framework of Grounds policies and procedures, and under the direction of the Manager Landscape Services, the Landscape Services - Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Manager, Landscape Services in the provision of Grounds services. In addition to carrying out the regular duties of the Landscape Services Worker II - Grounds position, the Landscape Services Worker - Supervisor has additional areas of responsibility including monitoring and reporting staff performance to manager, performance appraisals, time card approval, vacation scheduling, guidance & coordination to the team of staff delivering area landscape services within their designated service area. The position performs a vast number of duties using heavy, light and small equipment, as well as hand tools and manual labor. These duties include (but are not limited to) the maintenance and construction of hard/soft landscaping, pond maintenance, furnishings, signs, snow removal, irrigation installation and repair, pruning, special event set up and take downs, miscellaneous tasks and daily repairs/maintenance of equipment used for each task listed above. These activities are guided by standard operating procedures, site plans, blueprints, excavation permits and traffic disruption permits.
