HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Prepare labs/practicals for delivery, including setting up/taking down equipment, gathering materials, and related resources.
- Assist instructors during lab/practical sessions, including supporting or completing demonstrations (in support of theory), simulations, and hands-on student activities.
- Observe and provide feedback to students on practical application; provide tutorial/remedial services to students as required.
- Provide assistance and support to students during classroom, lab or work-integrated learning activities.
- Grade assignments using checklists/guides, observe student progress through completion of demonstrated skills utilizing rubrics, and/or provide feedback to support student progress.
- Support the coordination of lab schedules, simulation sessions, practical exam logistics, and practicum preparation in consultation with faculty, program supports and external stakeholders as required.
- Support lab operations through scheduling, inventory, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and institutional policies as applicable.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Current registration, in good standing, with the Alberta College of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician is required.
- 3+ years of full-time clinical practice experience or the equivalent in part-time experience in community and/or institutional practice.
- Currently employed as a pharmacy technician in pharmacy practice. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency with Kroll is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and demonstrated time-management skills.
- Experience teaching and/or mentoring others.
- Solid understanding of and appreciation of the pharmacy technician profession.
- Demonstrated ability to support delivery and documentation of practical skills in an educational environment.

AUPE Band Level 7 | Instructional Assistant II | $57,318 - 74,468 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience.
