About the role
At SMS Equipment, our Mining Sales Interns help with all functions related to the mining sales team. They are responsible for assisting with the sales of equipment and product support within the mining region. Our Mining Sales Interns use the experience in the Intern position to develop into a competent and knowledgeable Mining Sales Rep within a 24-month timeframe. We are looking for a candidate who is driven, ready for a challenge and eager to build a life-long, fulfilling career within our essential and dynamic industry.
Work Location: Acheson, AB.
Salary:$65,000 annually.
Work arrangement: Fixed on site – working 5 days per week from the office.
**Schedule:**Monday to Friday.
What You'll Do
- Utilizing SMS Equipment technical, sales, and promotional resources to generate leads and achieve sales goals. Focusing on accounts within an identified market and geography. Preparing and delivering sales presentations. -**Customer Relations.**Become knowledgeable and involved in all aspects of customer relationships with SMS Equipment including, Service, Parts, Sales, Finance/Credit and other company divisions/functions as assigned. Acting as a customer representative for SMS Equipment and as a focal point for communication between customers and the organization. -**Special Projects.**Participating in major promotions, new product launches, and new marketing initiatives to support mining sales across SMS Equipment.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate will have astrong sales orientationandclient and customer relations experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Post-secondary education or a combination of equivalent work experience.
- The ability to operate in a diverse environment with a significant focus on customer relations.
- A strong sense of ambition and drive with a keen interest in new technology and best practice pertaining to SMS Equipment’s products and services.
- Excellent time management, work prioritization, and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to verify and/or exchange information with suppliers, as well as internal and external resources.
