- Possession of a valid provincial driver’s license.
- Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest.
##Operational Requirements
- Willing and able to work occasional overtime on short notice.
- Willing and able to travel.
- Willing and able to perform assigned work tasks in a changing environment.
- Willing and able to work in the following conditions: confined and cramped work spaces, loud noises, wet and slippery floors, and adverse weather conditions.
- Willing and able to work in conditions with potential exposures to heights when climbing ladders and scaffolds, as well as around toxic chemicals.
- Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment, including appropriate respiratory protection relative to exposure risk, as provided by the employer.
- Willing and able to carry occupational inspection equipment (up to 20 kg) from vehicle to inspection site(s) (up to 300 metres).

ED1. A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternative (see note 1)NOTE:
o The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
o A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Candidates who already meet both of the following criteria must be accepted as meeting the secondary school diploma requirement:
d. Candidates who have achieved a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; and
e. Candidates who have been appointed or deployed for an indeterminate period to a position in the EG classification.The opportunity to be assessed by at least one of the two employer-approved alternatives must be offered to candidates who have not previously met the secondary school diploma requirement.
Candidates who were appointed or deployed on an indeterminate basis using an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience meet the secondary school requirement for the EG classification only and must be reassessed for entry to other classifications on the basis of this alternative.

CERTIFICATION:
- A diploma (or higher) in Occupational and Environmental Health;
- Certification in Occupational Hygiene (CIH, ROH, ROHT, OHST, or equivalent); or,
- Canadian Armed Forces 6A Preventive Medicine Technician course with required combination of experience and training.
EXPERIENCE:
- EX1. Experience in conducting occupational health and safety investigations and inspections.
- EX2. Experience ing theories, principles and legislation related to environmental health and safety and industrial hygiene.
- EX3. Experience with Microsoft Office software applications.
