About the role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Determine type of glass, frames and material required. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure, mark and cut glass. Position and secure panes in frame. Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products. Repair glass doors and other glass structures. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Morning. Day. Weekend. Other benefits: Other benefits. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
