Essential Duties & Responsibilities To enable the Gates Canada, Brantford Operations meet its business plan objectives through the performance of cycle counting in finished goods and the maintenance of accurate Inventory records. Scope of Role Reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager, Gates Canada Inc., Brantford.
- Perform cycle counting in finished goods, - Ensuring that proper procedures are followed to maintain accurate Inventory records pertaining to quantity and location. - Locating errors and following up with corrective action.- Process warranty returns and approve credits/ refusals based on findings- Perform miscellaneous assignments as may be assigned Education and Experience
- Minimum grade 12 Secondary education - Must have a minimum of one year's experience in Production Planning and/or warehouse experience. - Must have a good understanding of inventory system and cycle counting procedures.- Solid computer skills Required Skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, - Must have an attention to detail to ensure accuracy of inventory- Strong problem-solving skills- Responsible for correcting any errors found and follow up with corrective action.- Ability to organize time and plan ahead. - Must deal with constant deadlines and change of priorities. - Exceptional communications skills (verbal & written) to effectively interact with a variety of personnel. - Must be able to drive PIV. - Must be able to work at heights Physical Demands While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit; use hands to reach, handle, manipulate and feel objects, tools, and controls. The employee will need to listen and talk to other employees. Specific vision capabilities required as the employee is to work in front of a computer on a day-to-day basis. Regular moving and lifting of inventory for up to 50 pounds. Frequent walking, standing, bending, and sitting throughout the warehouse floor during audits and safety inspections. Additional Requirements Health & Safety Leadership: Serve as an active member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), participating in meetings, workplace inspections, and promoting a robust safety culture.Cross-Functional Support: Crosstrain and learn other distribution center functions (e.g., receiving, picking, shipping) to support overall warehouse flexibility.Technical Skills: Solid computer proficiency, including data entry and navigating inventory spreadsheets/softwareAd-Hoc Tasks: Perform miscellaneous warehouse and inventory assignments as required by management. Maintain open availability for shift coverages as required by business needs Working Environment The noise level is moderate, lighting is mild, and the space is comfortable.
