Software Development

Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with geologists, engineers and other stakeholders to integrate data findings and software solutions.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.

Required
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Data Science, Computing Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in geology, geological data science, or geophysics, with demonstrated expertise in handling large geological datasets.
Designations & Certifications
- GIT, P.Geo or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Familiarity with mining software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan).

Strong foundation in geology, including mineralogy and structural geology.

Proficiency in GIS (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis.

Expertise in data science, including statistical analysis and machine learning.

Skilled in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, with experience in developing data-driven tools.

Familiarity with mining and exploration software like Leapfrog or Vulcan.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Working Conditions
Fieldwork
- Exposure to harsh weather, extreme temperatures, and challenging terrain, which can cause discomfort and physical strain.
- Potential hazards include wildlife, difficult topography, and adverse weather, varying by project and season.
- Geological core logging requires lifting up to 60 lbs repeatedly and periods of intense focus.
