**Status:**Appendix D Contract
**Hours:**40 hours per week

Salary:Payband H-$37.34 - $43.18
Starting Salary:$37.34 Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.

About Work Integrated Learning(WIL) Position:
Under the direction of the Associate Dean, the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Officer plans, develops, promotes, coordinates, implements, and maintains on-campus and off-campus internship/placements for the assigned programs within the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences (FHLS). The WIL Officer ensures that the experiential learning opportunities provided meet the program curricular requirements and support students in their learning journey. The WIL Officer also works with the FHLS Program Coordinators, Faculty and others involved in the delivery and monitoring of internship/placements, to ensure that learners are prepared and that they are supported in a meaningful work integrated learning experience.

Education
A minimum of a three-year College Diploma or University Degree in one or more of the following sectors:

A program within the associated program cluster

Health Sciences
-
Human Resources
Experience/Skills
A minimum of 3 years of industry sector experience in the following areas:
-
Within cluster of programs (Health & Life Sciences and/or Integrative & Allied Health)
-
Experience in database management.
-
Excellent interpersonal skills.
-
Good verbal & written skills.
-
Good organization & project management skills.
-
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills and ability to use technology.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills:
-
Computer skills including database management, Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and Internet applications.

Excellent listening, networking and sensitivity skills, and the ability to connect and communicate with people are essential.

Ability to read, interpret and report on statistical data.

Administrative and time management skills.
