- Create detailed lesson plans that include content delivery methods, student learning activities, engagement strategies, opportunities for formative assessment, and summaries or reflections on key anatomical and physiological principles.
- Develop comprehensive instructor guides containing teaching notes, content clarifications, suggested pacing, lab facilitation instructions, supplemental resources, and best practices for effectively teaching foundational A&P to diverse learners.
- Design the complete assessment framework, including an assessment matrix aligned to learning outcomes, sample assessments, rubrics, quizzes, tests, laboratory assignments, case studies, and summative evaluations that reflect appropriate academic rigor.
- Develop laboratory components, including lab manuals, protocols, virtual or physical lab activities, safety guidance, and assessment tools consistent with postsecondary A&P laboratory expectations.
- Upload, structure, and organize all course materials within the Moodle LMS course shell, ensuring clear navigation, accessibility compliance, and alignment with Keyano College online learning standards.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and internal committee members to refine curriculum, integrate best practices, and ensure academic quality.
- Maintain regular communication with the Chair and Associate Dean, attend curriculum development meetings, and provide progress updates throughout the development process.
- Engage with community and provincial stakeholders, where appropriate, to ensure course relevance and alignment with transfer partner expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Master’s degree in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Human Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, or a closely related field.
