SUMMARY OF POSITION

Reporting to the Principal of Chalo School, _APPLIED SKILLS, Careers and Leadership Teacher K-12 _

Reporting to Chalo School Principal, the Applied Skills, Careers, and Leadership Teacher K-12 is a key member of the school’s instructional team and is responsible for providing instruction for PE, Applied Skills, Careers and Leadership Teacher in the High School. In consultation with colleagues, the teacher provides effective and research-based planning, instructional and assessment practices for learning in the school.

Qualifications

· BC Teachers Certification

· Knowledge of and willingness to use and learn current best practices in education.

· A strong team orientation and desire to collaborate with educators.

· Excellent planning and organization skills.

· A desire to grow professionally through coaching.

· A willingness to learn and use school programs.

· A clear Criminal Record Check, vulnerable sector.

All applicants must be eligible for certification by the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch.

RENUMERATION

· Competitive annual salary rate matched with School District 81 salary scale****

· Professional Development funds; $1400.00 annually (pro-rated in year one)****
