ABOUT THE ROLE
St. Joseph’s Care Group provides rehabilitative services through a partnership with Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, delivering expert physiotherapy care across diverse acute care settings. Physiotherapists provide specialist assessment, treatment, and advice to patients in medical, surgical, stroke, paediatric, mental health, emergency, and ICU units, focusing on restoring mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
This role involves working with patients recovering from surgery, injury, neurological conditions, or respiratory challenges, both in inpatient settings and through outpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation and a specialized Hand Clinic. Physiotherapists are integral to interdisciplinary teams, supporting safe discharge planning and helping patients regain their highest level of function.

WHAT YOU BRING
Education/Experience:
-
A degree or equivalent from an accredited Physiotherapy program
-
Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO) is mandatory
Skills/Abilities:

Ability to manage a clinical practice in a health care setting

Ability to complete analysis, using clinical knowledge, skill and judgement to synthesize assessment and additional information

Ability to assess and treat acute and chronic orthopaedic, neurological, geriatric and cardio-respiratory conditions

Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
