Grocery Department Associate
We are currently looking for a Part-Time Grocery Associate at our Garden City and Westwood locations.
The Grocery Associate is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion.
Job Duties
Handling and caring for produce
Physical lifting and climbing
Maintain back room
Keep work area clean and presentable
Process orders and receive stock in accordance with company requirements
Perform program execution and merchandising of product
Perform retail floor maintenance
Provide customer service to meet customer needs
Increase store sales by actively promoting products
Maintain a clean and safe working environment as per Company requirements
Other duties as required
Job Requirements
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Available to work days, evening and weekends

About VITA HEALTH FRESH MARKET
Vita Health is one of Canada’s first health food stores. G.W. Seier started Vita Health in 1936 as a small mail order company, selling various herbs and patented medicines. What started out as natural remedies for a European clientele quickly spread to local residents and the mail order business grew. Vita Health’s first retail store opened soon after at 220 Portage Avenue.
In the 1960s Vita Health began to package and wholesale herbals and vitamins throughout Canada. Vita Health’s manufacturing facility opened in Manitoba in 1974. It is here where the still popular VHC vitamins and minerals and HSC herbals were developed.
