Position: Meteorologist for AI Model Training
Type: Contract Compensation: $45–$55/hour Role Responsibilities
- Interpret High-Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) outputs at specific time steps.
- Identify key atmospheric features such as troughs, jet streaks, fronts, instability, and convection.
- Explain physical mechanisms driving observed conditions, including vorticity advection, lift, moisture transport, and upper-level divergence.
- Produce clear, structured, and technically accurate written explanations.
- Ensure all labels are grounded strictly in HRRR data without external references.
Qualifications Must-Have
- Degree in Meteorology / Atmospheric Science or 2+ years of operational forecasting experience.
- Strong synoptic and mesoscale analysis skills.
- Deep understanding of atmospheric dynamics and thermodynamics.
- Clear, precise technical writing ability.
Interview Process

- Short technical assessment involving 500 mb chart interpretation.
