About the role
The Project Accountant is responsible for tracking, forecasting, and reporting project-related costs and asset capitalization for tier-1 capital projects across the Lawton and Nappanee plants. This role partners closely with Project Managers and Plant Finance leadership to ensure project financials are accurate, compliant, and forecasted effectively. Provides financial insights that support sound decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in maintaining strong cost control and financial transparency in a manufacturing environment.

- Enables effective collaboration between project, finance, and operational teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
What You Will Do
- Track and record project costs by partnering with plant and corporate project teams and booking monthly accounting entries in line with internal policies.
- Prepare and manage monthly project expense forecasts, communicating results with Project Managers, Plant Controllers, and Finance Business Partners.
- Support month-end close activities including accruals, variance analysis, and project reporting.
- Manage purchase orders, commitments, invoice review, and payment follow-up throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor budgets, cash flow, capitalization, write-offs, and capital versus expense classifications.
- Participate in project meetings and provide financial updates, ensuring compliance with audit, change management, and control requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance; a master’s degree in a related field is an asset.
- Two or more years of experience in manufacturing accounting or finance, preferably supporting capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial systems, ERP platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

$70,955.00 - $131,774.00
However, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
