About the role
We are looking for a Driver Class A to join our TEAM! The Driver Class A is required to transport and handle
temperature sensitive goods and materials; Receive and relay information to central dispatch; Ensuring safety and security of cargo; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption; Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle; Understand, support and comply with all Food Safety and Quality policies, such as Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), Allergen Control, Organic Production and Food Security.

CHARACTER & ABILITIES
- Possess a strong sense of reliability and trustworthiness.
- Careful observation and attention to detail when inspecting the vehicle, completing paperwork, securing and
verifying loads.
- Being open to change and able to adjust to varying weather conditions, traffic patterns, and delivery
schedules
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- You possess a solid understanding of the regulations set forth by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation
(MTO) to ensure compliance and safety.
- You are physically fit to bend and lift >25kg items.
- You have strong written and verbal communication.
- You can read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
EXPERIENCE
- You have at least 5 years or relevant experience working in a similar capacity.
- You have a Valid AZ license.
- You can provide a letter from a previous employer showing proof of insurance as well as provide a drivers
abstract.
- You have an excellent drivers abstract.
NICE-TO-HAVE (Bonus qualities or wants from us)
- Experience with refrigerated products and previous route delivery
- Experience in the food industry.
- Valid licence or experience with forklift and other material handling devices
THINGS YOU WILL DO…
- Able to perform pre-trip inspections.
- Transport milk products between our production facility and warehouses as well as copackers and
distributors.
- Ensure orders are accurate.
- Keep accurate records, and report shortages, overages, and returns.
- Operate refrigerated reefers.
- Perform general cleaning duties.
- Supporting health and safety programs.
- Assist shipper/receivers with loading and unloading trailers.
- Able to work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, and occasional weekends.
