Job Description

This is a vital role in ensuring MFS provide quality fund administration services to our clients. An Investment Data and Valuations (IDV) Associate Director will operate and oversee internal and vendor systems to create and maintain accurate investment product database, investment pricing and valuation, corporate action processing, and investment reporting, etc.

An IDV Associate Director will have deep knowledge of financial market, exchange traded and OTC products, and investment pricing and valuation, as well as a keen interest in learning new technologies and systems that help automate and process timely and accurate financial data.

An IDV Associate Director will have a good knowledge on database and technical aspects of key systems. An IDV Associate Director will take leadership in certain operational functions.

• Build and monitor automated workflows for global reference data, pricing and valuation, corporate action, trade processing, etc.

• Ensure accurate and timely setup and update of global security and pricing database.

• Continuously review and update rules and logics for automated workflows to streamline and optimize operations.

• Key contact and solution owner for queries from internal colleagues and external clients regarding investment products, pricing and valuation of corporate actions, and investment reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is a minimum

• Master’s in finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, or other quantitative fields preferred

• CFA, FRM or enrolment in such professional programs is strongly desired

• 8+ years financial services industry experience is a minimum

• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite of products

• Proficient with VBA, SQL, Python or other programming languages

• Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, IHS Markit, and/or other market data vendors

• Experience with SSC Geneva and Broadridge Applications
