About the role
Participate in a structured cooperative educational/work program between Lockheed Martin Canada and a college/university student enrolled in an accredited degree program directly related to skills required by the company. Perform assigned tasks in technical/engineering disciplines e.g., Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering in the Systems Engineering field related to the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Project. Specifically, the Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT)) involved in data modeling, analytics, and reporting.
The candidate will participate in engineering activities including but not limited to:
- Design, develop, and maintain data dashboards and reporting solutions
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to inform engineering decisions
- Communicate technical findings to engineering leadership
- Work cross-functionally with software engineering, systems engineering, and project management teams
What you bring to the role
- Current student in an STEM program.
- Working knowledge of MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation
- Aptitude for working well in teams.
- Ability to work independently.
- Results-oriented self-starter attitude.
- Eligibility for NATO Secret clearance in a timely manner.
Additional skills desired for the role
- Active NATO Secret Security Clearance
- Experience delivering business insights through data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Agile process experience ideally using JIRA
- Experience in Agile development
Language Requirements in Quebec
Knowledge of the English language is required for this role as the position described in this posting requires the candidate to communicate every day with a virtual team outside Quebec as well as communicate with different members of the organization, clients and suppliers located outside of Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate must also be able to read or modify technical documents from our main clients and write technical documents for these same clients.
